Day 3 in Chanthaburi was all about slowing down and enjoying the peaceful side of Thailand at Chaolao Beach. We stayed at Sand Dunes Chaolao Beach Resort, a beautiful beachfront resort known for its modern rooms, large swimming pool, and direct beach access. The day was spent relaxing, exploring the beach, enjoying resort life, and taking in the calm atmosphere of Thailand’s eastern coastline.
Baan Luang Rajamaitri, the 150-year old Historic Inn where the legend of Luang Rajamaitri, the benefactor of Chantabun community, has been collected. We started our Songkran holiday with a road trip from Bangkok to Chanthaburi, one of Thailand’s charming eastern provinces known for its old town, riverside atmosphere, local food, and historic landmarks. After arriving in Chanthaburi, we checked into Baan Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn, rented a motorbike, enjoyed lunch and coffee, visited the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and ended the evening with dinner and live music by the riverside.
