Journey to Nami Island
We began our day with a scenic drive from Seoul to Nami Island, located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The island, shaped like a half-moon, was formed when the North Han River was dammed in 1944, creating a serene retreat just a short distance from the city.
Exploring Nami Island
Upon arrival, we boarded a ferry that transported us to the island, where we were greeted by rows of towering metasequoia trees lining the main pathways. The island’s charm lies in its blend of natural landscapes and artistic installations, making it a haven for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Lunch on the Island
After a leisurely stroll, we enjoyed a traditional Korean meal at one of the island’s local restaurants, savoring dishes that complemented the tranquil surroundings.

Return to Seoul
In the evening, we made our way back to Seoul, reflecting on the day’s experiences. To conclude our day, we dined at “Gurkha,” an Indian restaurant located in Myeongdong Street, offering a flavorful end to our adventure.
Our visit to Nami Island provided a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle, allowing us to immerse ourselves in South Korea’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
