Morning at Seomyeon
We began our day in Seomyeon, Busan’s bustling commercial district. At a local Starbucks, we enjoyed a familiar breakfast while observing the morning rush of locals—a blend of professionals, shoppers, and students. The energy of Seomyeon was palpable, with its maze of streets lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Exploring BIFF Square
Post-breakfast, we headed to BIFF Square, a landmark in Busan’s Nampo-dong neighborhood. Established to commemorate the Busan International Film Festival, the square is adorned with handprints of renowned Korean actors, celebrating the city’s cinematic heritage. The area buzzed with activity—street vendors offering local delicacies, tourists capturing memories, and cinephiles exploring the theaters.
Culinary Delights
Amidst the lively atmosphere of BIFF Square, we indulged in a refreshing treat at Gelato Coffee & Yogurt. The creamy gelato provided a delightful contrast to the morning’s hustle. We then ventured into the nearby subway market, a subterranean labyrinth of stalls selling everything from fashion to souvenirs. The market’s vibrancy and the vendors’ enthusiasm encapsulated Busan’s dynamic spirit.

As the day progressed, it was time to bid farewell to this captivating city. We made our way to Gimhae International Airport, reflecting on the diverse experiences—from serene temples to bustling markets—that Busan had offered. The city’s harmonious blend of tradition and modernity had left an indelible mark on our hearts.
