We spent one night in a heritage hotel. The Rangniwas Palace was built during the reign of Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874-84) as a platform to watch the ceremony of Sithala Asthami and later dancing performances.
City Palace
Old City, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India
I spend full day with my mother and my friend there in city palace. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years. This beautiful palace is an example of the splendor that the rulers of Mewar enjoyed centuries ago .We reached to the city palace easily as it was on walking distance from our Rangniwas Palace Hotel.
It was magnificent palace situated at the bank of river pichola. I captured some beautiful pictures of corridors, rooms, vents, courtyards of this palace. After taking good shots we move towards palace museum. I was surprised to see the items of common man inside a palace with decoration. I think that was a display of Indian kitchen in the old days. Utensils were made of metal or clay. It was great experience to know about their culture and how royalty lived.
After this beautiful visit to the palace we took some rest and tried Rajasthani food. It was amazing Thali full with different type of curries served with rice and roti. Now it was time for another popular place in Udaipur Saheliyo ki Bari. This beautiful garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art and fountains. Finally I enjoyed camel ride and then we moved towards Kumbhalgard Fort.
Udaipur a place of Rajput era and scenic locations, a place which is on the top of so many tourists is really a place to visit, here I m posting some pictures of my Udaipur trip.

This patterned garden used to be the popular relaxing spot of the royal ladies. The queen with her maids and female companions used to come here for a stroll and spend their time in leisure.
My Walking Story :
Today I am going to tell you about the Udaipur trip, wherein during the evening time we visit over there. The roads were congested, while I was trying to search for a good hotel to stay, one hotel was in a congested area, so we keep moving ahead in search of a hotel.
I found one hotel which looks good and was nearest to the city, so we went over there, and it seems like haveli, or rather it was a Haveli only which was converted into a hotel. The name of the hotel was “Rangniwas Palace Hotel”. Rao Ji ka Hata Rd, Old City, Kalaji Goraji, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India.
We spent one night in a heritage hotel. The Rangniwas Palace was built during the reign of Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874-84) as a platform to watch the ceremony of Sithala Asthami and later dancing performances. In the evening at around 7 pm, we completed our check-in process and my mother was tired so she went into her room, to get some rest and me along with my friend went outside walking and talking, plus to have some food and to see the nearby places as well.
We came late night around 12 am as we were engrossed in our talks. In the morning we had our breakfast and capture some pictures of the hotel, do check them on my blog.
Just at a walking distance, there was a city palace, which was very famous at Udaipur. After done with our breakfast we all went to City Palace around 10 am in the morning. I would like to describe this place.
City Palace: It was built over a period of nearly 400 years. This beautiful palace is an example of the splendour that the rulers of Mewar enjoyed centuries ago. Saheliyon Ki Bari: Now it was time for another popular place in Udaipur Saheliyo Ki Bari. This beautiful garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art, and fountains. Finally, I enjoyed the camel ride over there. Saheliyon Ki Bari was laid for a group of forty-eight This garden is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, presenting a green retreat in the drylands of Rajasthan.
The Garden of maids was built from 1710 to 1734 by Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal ladies. Saheliyon Ki Bari was constructed by Sangram Singh II as a present to the queen and her servants, while Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of Companions) is a lovely sight to behold and one can love the place. The King composed the garden by himself plus strived to get it a relaxed place where the queen could rest with her 48 maids. The garden still obeys its purpose in many ways including people arrive at this place to avoid the chaos of the city.
A pleasant place for romantics at heart, Udaipur is assuredly the best place to holiday in Rajasthan. Decorated with pretty palaces including the scintillating lakes, this famous tourist place, the city is also homeward to the second-largest man-made unsalted water lake plus has one of the most exotic boutique hotels in India. The beautiful Udaipur draws the attention of the visitors with its enormous lakes, awe-inspiring palaces, including quite delicious food. The city is alike a fresh breath of air as it is beautified with multiple lakes in a desert state.
Udaipur is an absolute goal for a luxury holiday as it is replete including boutique hotels that both fringe the lakes or are situated amidst it. In fact, the city owns several palaces that have been transformed into heritage hotels for the indulgence seekers to have a glimpse of royal hospitality. After exploring this amazing place went towards our next destination which was Kumbhalgarh Fort. This was the end of the trip. Do check all the lovely photographs of the place, I hope you like it!
