Short Pattaya trip on our first wedding anniversary. This time explored some new places.
Day 3 – We woke up early morning around 6:30 am and we were at the Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam at 7:30 am to buy the boat trip ticket. The ticket cost 200 THB / per person for the 2-hour tour by long-tailed boat ride.
Visitors can walk across this massive, contemporary concrete dam with sweeping views.
Day 2 – After breakfast, we were ready to explore Nakhon Nayok on a motorbike. Today our first destination was Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam. We reached there around 11:30 am. It was approx. 8 KM from our hotel, so just took us around 15 minutes. This day there was a lot of traffic and crowd.
Day 1 – We hired a taxi from Bangkok to Nakhon Nayok City @ 1200 THB, it’s approx 110 km from Bangkok. We started our journey around 11 am from Bangkok. We reached around noon and we picked up our rented motorbike @ 250 THB / per day for 2 days to start exploring Nakhon Nayok.
There is no easy way to rent a motorbike in Nakhon Nayok, so please make arrangements in advance. There are no shops to rent. I found after lots of research one guy number. His name is Mr. Uan and his phone: 0814917662 He is a very busy man 🙂 and keep in touch with him until you reach Nakhon Nayok.
Nakhon Nayok City is the capital of Nakhon Nayok province in the central region of Thailand. The city covers Tambon Nakhon Nayok and parts of Tha Chang, Ban Yai, Wang Krachom, and Phrom Ni of Mueang Nakhon Nayok district. In 2006 it had a population of 17,385. It lies 116 km northeast of Bangkok
Day 2 – The next morning, 2nd day we visited Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan & Phrong Akat temple in Chachoengsao. Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan is within the city and Phrong Akat is outside the city around 30 minutes drive by motorbike
Wat Sothonwararam is a temple in Chachoengsao Province, Thailand. Located in the Municipality of Mueang Chachoengsao alongside the Bang Pakong River, it was initially named ‘Wat Hong, ’ and was built in the late Ayutthaya period.
Day 1 – We back in the city around 6 pm. Spent some time near the Bang Pakong River and then had dinner in Chachoengsao.
Day 1 – After lunch, I drove the motorcycle to Wat Saman Ratanaram (Lord Ganesha Temple in Chachoengsao), Thailand. It’s approx 12 KM from Banmai Market. You can reach here within 20 minutes.
During this trip, we stay one night at JK Living Hotel and Service Apartment
Wat Saman Rattanaram is famous for its gigantic image of bright pink Ganesha with the size of 16 meters tall and 24 meters long. In Ganesha’s hands, he holds a broken tusk in one hand and a lotus flower in another.
Day 1 – On the 16th & 17th of April 2023, we visited Chachoengsao City near Bangkok.
By the Bang Pakong River, Chachoengsao fans out from its leafy central park where a buzzy flea market sells traditional street food and ornamental plants. Also within the park, Chachoengsao Stadium sits beside Princess Mother’s Garden with its flower beds and pond.
Motorbike rental is difficult to find because not so many shops. But this one can help you. I rented the motorbike from K. YUTTHANA (Big Kan Bike Shop) | LINE ID – bikeforrent | Mobile : 0935800582 | Google Map
100 Year Ban Mai Market is the place where you will see the old houses and waterfront community as well as will enjoy shopping for local goods and eating lots of delicious food.
15th April 2023 / During the Thai New Year holidays, I stayed in Bangkok to enjoy the Songkran festival. The next day I visited Chachoengsao City near Bangkok.
